Andrew Dotterer is a software developer working primarily in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Much of his production experience comes from ecommerce: headless storefronts, API integrations, and custom middleware across BigCommerce and Shopify. He came to programming as a second career, after studying oboe. The classical music background shows up in how much attention he pays to the details, the loading states, the edge cases, that make something feel finished rather than just functional.

He trained at Carnegie Mellon, Temple University, and Oberlin Conservatory. He lives with his husband, also a professional oboist, and their Boston Terrier, Rosie, who runs the household.
