Andrew Dotterer is a software developer based in Philadelphia. He specializes in ecommerce — building headless storefronts, API integrations, and custom middleware across BigCommerce and Shopify ecosystems. He's also building a set of tools aimed at making life a little easier for working musicians — practice aids, repertoire helpers, and workflow tools for the daily grind.

Away from the keyboard, Andrew is Principal Oboist of Orchestra Iowa, a position he has held since 2019. For him, the orchestra is where music becomes something bigger than any one player — the experience of being absorbed into one unified sound alongside colleagues is unlike anything else in a musician's life.

He trained at Carnegie Mellon, Temple University, and Oberlin Conservatory. He lives in Philadelphia with his husband — also a professional oboist — and their Boston Terrier, Rosie, who runs the household.
